My recent stay at the Courtyard By Marriott Charleston Historic District was enjoyable overall, although there were a few drawbacks. The location was perfect, allowing easy access to downtown attractions (I loved being able to walk to places like the Aquarium!). While my room was clean and the bed was comfortable, not all aspects felt great. I did find the price a bit high considering the room's condition and some issues with cleanliness at check-in.

I enjoyed the option to grab breakfast at the Bistro, which offered Starbucks coffee—a great perk, especially since the local Starbucks was closed for renovations.

The pool area was pleasant for a refreshing dip, though I didn't spend much time there. The common areas were welcoming and nicely maintained.

I had a mixed experience at Courtyard By Marriott Charleston Historic District. The location was fantastic for exploring the city, and the staff were friendly and attentive. However, the condition of the rooms felt outdated, and I had issues with the cleanliness of the bathroom. Overall, it wasn't the most impressive stay, but the accessibility to attractions was a highlight.

During my stay at the Courtyard By Marriott Charleston Historic District, I appreciated the excellent customer service and clean, spacious room. though the parking fees were a bit steep. The hotel’s location was fantastic, making it easy to explore nearby attractions on foot. I loved the pool area and the overall atmosphere of the hotel, but I was slightly disappointed that the bistro only offered light snacks rather than full meals.

Overall, my stay at the Courtyard By Marriott Charleston Historic District was pleasant, thanks to the really good staff and convenient location. The room was clean and spacious, although I encountered a few maintenance issues that were addressed promptly. However, the breakfast options were a bit underwhelming, and some amenities could use a refresh to enhance the stay further.

Rooms

My room was clean and spacious, but it had some wear in the older wing, which detracted a bit from the overall experience. I encountered maintenance issues that required attention during my stay.

6.8/10

I was really looking forward to my stay at the Courtyard By Marriott Charleston Historic District, but it ended up being quite a mixed bag. On one hand, the location is super convenient for exploring historic attractions, but on the other, the check-in process was frustratingly slow, and my room fell short of what I expected for the price. While the staff tried their best to help, the overall experience just didn't hit the mark for me.

Rooms
5.0
Though I got the balcony I reserved, the room was smaller and had a cheap feel to it, especially with the handicap accessible features I never asked for. The noise level between rooms was noticeable, disrupting my sleep.
Service
5.0
The staff were nice enough, especially housekeeping, but the front desk had a robotic vibe and wasn't very personable. There were clear signs of being overwhelmed during busy times.
Location
9.0
The location of the hotel is definitely a win—just a short walk to King Street and other historical spots, making sightseeing pretty easy.
Dining
5.0
Dining options were a bit lackluster, especially since the cafe closed early and didn't offer complimentary coffee. I expected better breakfast options for the price.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities could use some upgrading too, like the elevators being slow and only one working during my stay made it quite inconvenient.
